This month the new Karl Lagerfeld flagship store on Regent Street has opened. Karl Lagerfeld being Karl Lagerfeld, we knew this would not be any normal flagship store. It not only houses his men’s and women’s ready-to-wear collections (as well as shoes, handbags, and accessories), but also an exclusive London collection inspired by the Union Flag.
There’s also a rather eccentric or ‘quirky’ collection of Karl objects. From mugs, iPhone covers, bedding, and even dolls all with Karl’s caricatured face on them. You can even buy your own Karl ‘uniform’ of fingerless leather gloves and glasses if you decide to go all out.
The store itself is ideal for those luxury connoisseurs who love today’s modern technology, with iPads in the main store providing styling options, and photobooths in the changing rooms which encourage you to take selfies – you can then apply Karl’s favourite filters and upload your selfies straight to instagram.
