PHOENIX Magazine is a quarterly culture and fashion magazine that appeals to sophisticated and fashion-conscious young professionals. The Snow Maiden’s Ball was held at Ruski’s Tavern in Kensington, and was held to celebrate the launch of PHOENIX Magazine’s winter issue ‘Hearts are Wild’.
We arrived and were ushered down the stairs to the bar where we mingled with the likes of Olivia Grant, Jimmy Q, and Diego Bivero-Volpe. We sipped on Moscow Mules served in authentic tin cups, as well as special ‘Hearts are Wild’ cocktails created just for the event.
Christmas trees twinkling with white and blue lights surrounded the walls of the club, while the fashion crowd mixed with socialites. PHOENIX Magazine editor Hannah Kane (brother to Paul Smith senior menswear designer Josh Kane), looked stunning in a vintage red ball dress and fur headpiece, with her whole outfit inspired by Russian glamour.
Surrounded by models and fashionistas, we partied until the early hours before we decided to call it a night ahead of work the next day. Armed with our copy of PHOENIX we jumped in an Uber and headed home, flicking through the pages on the way, cooing at the best dressed animal feature and the beautiful Guirado Design scarves, that the featured hedgehog is apparently a fan of.
