Mediterranean Dining at Marylebone’s Kitchen at Holmes

“The world is full of obvious things which nobody by any chance ever observes.” – Sherlock Holmes

You’d be forgiven for not observing this hidden treasure in the heart of Marylebone Village given its nondescript clean white frontage and subtle branding across the glass entrance door.

Located on Baker Street, famed for its connection with the fictional detective, Sherlock Holmes, Kitchen at Holmes is an all-day restaurant and neighbourhood bar serving breakfast, lunch and dinner to all who visit.

With a menu full of seasonal produce it has been inspired by the Head Chef’s life-long travels and features a fusion of Modern European and Mediterranean influences perfect for an evening date night, family get-together or just a casual catch-up with friends.

Mediterranean influences in the menu

A la Carte menu highlights include, Red Prawn Carpaccio served with Caviar & Amalfi lemon, Tuna Tartare with wasabi avocado & rice tuille, Lobster Tagliolini with baby tomato & basil, Grilled Lamb Kofta, Beef Carpaccio served with Foie Gras & black truffle and Herb Lamb Neck & Ras-el-Hanout accompanied with burnt Aubergine & Yohini.

An equally impressive dessert menu, should you still have room, is also available for your indulgence. Notable offerings include the White chocolate & Lemon Panna Cotta and the Pistachio Dream.

The Cocktail menu is an homage to Sherlock Holmes

Should you find yourself passing through the Marylebone area and fancy something a little less substantial then we’d recommend the Kitchen at Holmes cocktail menu and bar food options.

Classic cocktail concoctions include ‘Sherlock’s Pipe’, ‘Case Closed’ and ‘Holmes Melody’ all served in a multitude of glassware arrangements that make for a fun and exotic way in which to enjoy your drinks. The only trouble you may find is deciding on which cocktail to order next.

Chandon Garden Spritz Terrace is perfect for summer

Providing a modern and spacious bar and restaurant inside, Kitchen at Holmes also has the option of outdoor seating with its Chandon Garden Spritz Terrace facing onto Baker Street with heating provided should the evenings get a little cooler. Whilst for those looking for a more private space you can take to the Marylebone skyline and hire the Roof Terrace to which to indulge in.

Open 7 days a week, Kitchen at Holmes is on hand to cater for a variety of occasions from morning through to night and we recommend adding it to your list of options going forward, but as Sherlock Holmes himself would say, “There is nothing like first-hand evidence.”
