Conrad London Launches New Summer Picnic

Conrad London Summer Picnic

As the sun starts to shine over London and summer makes its arrival, Conrad London St. James is launching a new summer picnic in St. James’s Park with the ultimate selection of homemade treats. Prepared by Executive Chef Michael Riordan, pick up your specially curated hamper before finding your ideal spot in the park, making the picture perfect summer memory.

The picnic hamper includes a contemporary British menu, using fresh, tasty, regional ingredients. Guests will be spoilt for choice with a selection of finger sandwiches, smoked mackerel pate with lemon & dill mayonnaise, Scotch egg with pork sausage, onion & caramelised apple, ham hock terrine with beetroot piccalilli and so much more.

Satisfy your sweet tooth with peach and rosemary Backwell tartlets and of course, no afternoon picnic would be complete without a glass or two. Covering France to New Zealand, choose from a selection of red, white or rose wines or a summery glass of something sparkling.

Conrad London St. James’s convenient central location means you won’t have to travel far with your picnic basket full of treats, as the park is just a short two-minute walk from the hotel. Take time to make the most of summer in London and watch as the city life passes you by. After all, nothing beats people watching in the excitement of London. For those eager to catch a show on the West End, why not treat the picnic as an alternative to traditional pre-theatre dining?

Conrad London St. James provides an excellent base from which to explore London’s iconic attractions, from Buckingham Palace to Big Ben. The hotel itself is a contemporary escape, with 256 rooms and suites featuring sleek designs and modern amenities. Not afraid to be bold, one of the hotel’s major pulls is its impressive collection of political art by local artists.

Prices for the picnic hamper start from £26 per person.
