Everyman Cinema at Selfridges

Everyman Cinema Selfridges

The world’s very first in-store cinema has opened in Mayfair, with the arrival of the Everyman Cinema pop-up at Selfridges department store.

On the lower ground floor of the store nestled amongst the homewares and bright neon lights, the Everyman pop-up has taken centre stage. You walk through the door and instantly you’re a world away from the angry Oxford Street shoppers and lost tourists looking for the food hall.

The cinema is all very classic and retro, with large black and white photographs of famous screen stars covering the entrance way, it’s all very Hollywood. While waiting to enter the screening room, you’re treated to glasses of champagne and posh canapes. On our way in we were given even more food in the form of delicious jelly sweets and popcorn.

Inside the screen you recline into comfortable leather sofas, and then sit back and relax ready to watch the film. The first 12 films have been chosen by in-store designers including Oscar de la Renta, and the first film being shown is Woody Allen’s Magic in the Moonlight.

Everyman at Selfridges is open for six months and costs between £7.50-£20. You can book online on the Everyman website, or call on 0871 906 9060.
