London has always been known for its multicultural offerings with some referring to it as a melting pot of cultures far and wide. As such, it should come as no surprise that certain London locations are now servicing this melting pot with an international offering of their own, one such location being The London EDITION Hotel.

In celebration of the EDITION’s global footprint more than doubling in size with the launch of new hotels in Shanghai, Barcelona and Bodrum, the luxury individualised hotel group has launched a new lobby cocktail menu.

Taking Inspiration from their international locations

Drawing inspiration from the EDITION’s eleven international locations, the creative team at The London EDITION’s Lobby Bar have concocted an eclectic array of global cocktails that feature ingredients and names across these sites.

A twist on a traditional hotel space, the Lobby Bar was conceived for both work and play. Creating a sense of organised chaos, the lobby and lobby bar are furnished with an eclectic mix of unique artistic pieces.

The space features Donald Judd inspired sofas in pale green velvet, leather-upholstered modern wingback chairs, an oversized deep, tufted leather khaki sofa, Christian Liaigre black metal furniture and lighting, 24-karat gold Salvador Dali inspired floor lamps, an antique billiard table and mustard velvet slipper chairs.

Available now, the new lobby bar menu offers a taste of the EDITION’s far-flung locations with cocktail ingredients such as a Sangria, representative of The Barcelona EDITION and Raki, representative of The Bodrum EDITION.

Andrew Shannon, Bar Manager at The London EDITION provides an insight into how the new lobby bar menu came to fruition. “Each one of our bartenders imparted a different story or slant based on their perception of those hotels ranging from personal experience – from the tropical ingredients and style of drinks at the Sanya EDITION – to our home in London with drink inspired by Sir Francis Drake, his knighting in Deptford and his creation of the Mojito.”

Not just content on showcasing the global ingredients and inspiration across the EDITION’s luxury hotel offerings, the group has also used the new lobby menu to reiterate its commitment to the environment as part of its Stay Plastic Free campaign. Guests can expect to set their drinks down on recycled plastic coasters made from re-used plastic bags collected from the Southern shores of England and have their plastic straws replaced with paper versions.

With each cocktail priced at £14, guests can visit The London EDITION Hotel on the edge of London’s Soho area at 10 Berners Street, London W1T 3NP.
