Enjoy a Sweet Valentine’s with Le Chocolat Alain Ducasse

le chocolate alain ducasse valentine's chocolate heart

Ducasse Paris’ signature chocolate brand, Le Chocolat Alain Ducasse, created and manufactured in Paris, will be celebrating Valentine’s Day this year with the launch of their unique gourmet chocolate heart available at their first UK store at Coal Drops Yard from the 25th January 2019 for £19.

Designed by respected Ducasse Paris’ Artistic Director Pierre Tachon, the heart is made up of two indulgent halves that bring together delicate flavours meticulously sourced by Le Chocolat Alain Ducasse’s team of skilled chocolatiers, into one romantic design. Coated with dark chocolate and filled with an almond praliné, one side of the heart is aligned with a second, a complementary combination of milk chocolate and hazelnut praliné that is designed specifically for sharing.

The unique gourmet heart is just one of an assortment of single-origin and flavoured ganaches, pralinés “à l’ancienne”, chocolate bars and more on offer at Le Chocolat Alain Ducasse. Sourced from more than 15 origins – such as Peru, Sao Tomé, Madagascar, Dominican Republic, Trinidad and Vietnam – Le Chocolat Alain Ducasse’s chocolatiers work together to fine-tune chocolates to best express their origins and character, rediscovering the precise and laborious process required for making chocolate with expertise and ingenuity.

Born from the desire to return to the source, Le Chocolat Alain Ducasse is the very essence of what chocolate is made of: a precise and creative work, a craft that works with bespoke machinery and a drawn out process. Its chocolates are made traditionally, in Paris, in a workshop at the back of a small cobbled courtyard at 40 rue de la Roquette, and transported directly to the shop in Coal Drops Yard several times a week.

The store itself stands as a romantic destination this Valentine’s Day in its own right. For a sensory experience, couples are welcomed in to enjoy a tasting of Le Chocolat Alain Ducasse’s refined range of chocolates under the exposed brick walls of Coal Drops Yard site that fits appropriately in the industrial feel of its surroundings.

Admire the vast range of Le Chocolat’s signature chocolate bonbons theatrically assembled on the wrought-iron presentation table before heading off to explore Kings Cross’ newest retail district. With over fifty independent stores from a unique mix of established and emerging brands, along with cafés, bars, top independent restaurants and new public spaces, visitors won’t be short of choice when it comes to finding the best romantic spot to toast to the happy years ahead.
