Ferrari’s Turbo 458 Replacement

Ferrari 488 Supercar

We would like to introduce you to the Ferrari 488 GTB, the replacement for Ferrari’s Turbo 458 Italia, which goes out of production this summer. Looks similar, right? Right. The basic shape and design is still there, but it’s been tweaked heavily to reflect other Ferrari’s, including the 308. Not to mention inside there’s a huge difference. The mid-engined supercar most notably has a turbocharged V8 engine, with a new 3.9-litre twin-turbo which produces 660bhp and 560lb ft.

Impressively this powerful monster gets the 488 GTB from 0-62mph in just three seconds, with the top speed being 208mph. Just let that sink in. And if you’re curious as to what the GTB part actually stands for, it stands for Gran Turismo Berlinetta, which is Italian for a grand tourer with coupe styling.

We’re looking forward to previewing the car at the Geneva Motor Show in March, and there’s no word on pricing at the moment, but it’s likely to cost more than the 458 Italia, which costs over £178,000 in the UK.
