London Collections: Men AW14

Gieves & Hawkes AW14 London Collections: Men

The third London Collections: Men has just come to a close, and has just reinforced how Britain are changing the world of men’s fashion. With metro-sexual men being the new cool, London was overflowing with stylish gentlemen throughout the week, all of them strolling around our beautiful city between venues.

We attended a number of shows, including Gieves & Hawkes, Margaret Howell, Duchamp, and Burberry. There were also countless parties and showcase events in the evenings including Velsvoir, Superdry, and Ben Sherman. With so many shows, we decided to pick our two favourites and give you the highlights from each.

Gieves & Hawkes is a favourite of ours, one of the World’s most famous tailors, their showcase at London Collections this year did not disappoint. Displaying the collection in Christie’s Sale House was a fantastic location to show off such exquisite pieces of clothing. A mixture of traditional tailoring and on-trend garments, we particularly loved the shawl lapel dinner jackets, fabric patterns, and fur-lined coats.

The second highlight for us was Burberry. Silk scarves, man bags, travel. Christopher Bailey has created a collection to evoke thought and a pure love for London. With A-Z maps of London printed onto the scarves that hung loosely over cashmere coats and jumpers.

A brilliant third London Collections: Men, we can’t wait until the fourth in June!
