Massimo Bottura and Lara Gilmore, partners in life and business, acquired the property with the intention of extending the art of hospitality beyond the doors of Osteria Francescana, and where they share their passion for art, music and food in a new form.

At the Casa Maria Luigia’s open plan kitchen, get a glimpse behind-the-scenes into how a 3-Michelin-Star chef truly operates the fine-dining backstage where the magic happens.This private masterclass is designed around Chef Massimo’s culinary art and creations and the regional culture of Emilia Romagna. Chef Massimo will share his passion and journey of creativity to feed people with emotion with a small number of guests.

Dinner al Fresco

Time for a special evening under the stars for a private dinner experience in the gardens of the Villa Coccapani in true Emilian style, with beautiful set-up for the night with local classical music and a live opera performance.

Experience Modena through Cars and Parmigiano

Your driver will pick you up at the hotel for a drive across Modena countryside to get to a true gem of traditional cheese producer. Enjoy a guided tour of Hombre Parmigiano Reggiano DOP Organic Farm to witness the organic farming craft of artisan cheese making for its unique taste of the region.

Tortellante: Learn to make Tortellini with Modena Grandmothers

Enjoy a cooking class with the grandmothers of Modena to learn how to make Tortellini and while doing so, support Tortellante, the Social Enterprise created by Massimo Bottura.

Dinner at Osteria Francescana

For the last evening, the highlight of the day is to dine at Osteria Francescana. With the anticipation at height, your driver will pick you up at Casa Maria Luigia to take you to the 3 Michelin star restaurant of dreams. At number 1 on The World’s 50 Best Restaurants list in 2016 and for the second time in 2018 Osteria Francescana will always remain as the heart of Bottura’s world. A place to eat emotions, to feel enveloped by warm hospitality and to experience Italy at its finest. It is here in this kitchen that Massimo Bottura is hailed as a storyteller and artist as much as a cook.
